Night Shift Warehouse Manager
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Operations Manager
PURPOSE: Perform functions to plan, schedule and maintain a warehouse operation in as efficient a manner as possible while maintaining satisfactory employee relations.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Oversee the night operations for receiving, stocking and shipping.
Give general direction to supervisors including: scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and scheduling production requirements.
Oversee the weekend work scheduling.
Monitor and maintain work flow to ensure efficient operation.
Oversee compliance of AIB, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and SOP (Standard Operation Procedures)
Plan and devise more effective methods to ship and receive merchandise.
Investigate inventory variances and warehouse operational problems; diagnose and resolve the more complex problems affecting materials and shipments.
Coordinate warehouse activities with other departments.
Maintain quality of warehouse operations.
Recommend changes to process equipment and methods to increase productivity.
Attend and participate in company meetings.
Assist with the security of the facility including security cameras.
Assist customers in resolving shipping problems.
Audit incentive pay programs to ensure accuracy.
Monitor warehouse and shipping performance, productivity and costs and maintain appropriate records.
Responsible to hire, instruct, train and provide direction to employees.
Maintain discipline and appraise performance.
Counsel supervisors in regard to: employee promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions and termination's.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolong sitting up to four hours at a time
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Bending, stooping, and twisting required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree OR experience in convenience and/or distribution
Computer skills should include Microsoft Word and Excel. AS400 operating experience a plus
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and oral/written skillsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
