- Provide a safe and nurturing environment - Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities - Create lesson plans that promote learning and development in various areas such as language, math, science, and social skills - Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques - Monitor and assess the progress of each child and provide feedback to parents/guardians - Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment - Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience for all children Education:
9 early childhood credit hours or must be willing to enroll in approved EC courses and complete 9 EC credit hours by the end of the 2023-2024 program year.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and practices - Experience working with children - Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues - Patience, compassion, and understanding when working with young children - Strong organizational skills to manage classroom materials and resources This position requires a passion for working with young children.
